PCC intervention in cooperation with Alianza Por La Solidaridad (APS)

In light of the unprecedented scale of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the increasingly hostile and volatile context of the West Bank, with escalating needs and insecurity, The Palestinian Counseling Center (PCC) has partnered with Alianza Por la Solidaridad (APS) to intervene in the West Bank under the project: "Provision of lifesaving integrated protection support for vulnerable children and adults in Gaza and the West Bank". Here, the PCC played an essential role in intervening in the West Bank as it could reach many key hotspots and communities that are difficult to reach due to Israeli military operations and settler violence.

The PCC and its partner CBOs implemented a range of psychosocial support and empowerment activities for women, youth, and vulnerable individuals in targeted areas. These included women’s empowerment sessions to build confidence and self-awareness, youth workshops focused on gender-based violence and stress management, and open days to strengthen communication and social bonds among women. Psychological First Aid and case management services were provided to individuals facing emotional distress, including displaced persons and people with disabilities. Therapy and emergency consultations helped beneficiaries manage trauma and acute stress, especially during military escalations.

Despite the harsh and ever-worsening conditions, the PCC’s work remains a lifeline for many. In communities where fear, loss, and displacement have become daily realities, continued psychosocial support is not just important—it’s essential. The stories of women regaining their voices, youth finding safe spaces to speak and heal, and families receiving a moment of relief amid chaos, are powerful reminders of why this work must go on. Even when the oppression feels relentless and the violence unending, the PCC’s presence brings hope, dignity, and resilience to those who need it most.
